There’s a play so powerful that an old superstition says its name should never be uttered in a theater. A play that begins with witchcraft and ends with a bloody, severed head. A play filled with riddles, prophecies, nightmare visions, and lots of brutal murder. But is it really all that good? Brendan Pelsue explains why you should read (or revisit) “Macbeth.”
Lesson by Brendan Pelsue, directed by Silvia Prietov.

Macbeth was my first Shakespeare. I kind of have a connection to it.
Would love to see Peter Jackson and his team put Macbeth to the big screen. Moving trees and a final battle to end all battles. Plenty of visually impressive stuff before. And inbetween.
Awesome.
4:40 reminds me of my boy Bolbi
Read this in elementary school (yes, my school was negligent in censoring books in the library) , still one of the most fascinating and haunting books I've read.
3:25 is the scene a shining reference

My name is Macbern!😔 The Irony!
VERY GOOD VIDEO
Perfect and perfect analysis as well
Reminds me of a Polish drama by Julius Słowacki "Balladyna". I bet Słowacki copied Shakespeare's idea.
The animation and music in this video is breath taking
Yo this narrator should read audio books
Aaaaaaahhhhhh. Please! @ 3:30 Who was the power behind the 'rise' of the Macbeths? Lady Macbeth! Twas no 'willing union' as I remember. It's a play about greed, manipulation, 'magic' (ie the unknown) and the ultimate constant and challenge on our planet – CHANGE.
Macboii
Ohhh, the sound of blooood! Nice…
