American Horror Story After Show Season 2 Episode 13 "Madness Ends" | AfterBuzz TV

AFTERBUZZ TV — American Horror Story edition, is a weekly “after show” for fans of FX’s American Horror Story. In this episode, host JC Rubio breaks down the episode in which During an interview about her career, an older and now famous television investigative reporter, Lana, discusses her crusade to close down Briarcliff and exposing Doctor Arden as a war criminal, which led to the Monsignor killing himself. It is later revealed that Kit secretly rescued Sister Jude from Briarcliff and nursed her back to sanity. Jude eventually becomes part of Kit’s family, and creates strong ties with his children. Unfortunately, Jude later dies in Kit’s home. Kit later contracts pancreatic cancer and is taken away by the aliens, never to be seen again. Johnny finally confronts Lana after the interview and it is revealed that Lana met with her son (unknowingly to him) briefly as a stranger, protecting him from a bully. Lana (who prior to the interview was told by the police of her son’s rampage) ultimately convinces her son to put down the gun. In an unsuspected twist of events, Lana quickly shoots her son in the head before he has the chance to recover from his emotional stupor. The episode cuts back to the events in Sister Jude’s office in the first episode, “Welcome to Briarcliff”. Lana and Jude have a much more cordial conversation about the nature of evil, as she tries to convince Lana to give up her desires to interview the killer. There to help JC are co-hosts Jacque Borowski and Stephen Lemieux. It’s American Horror Story’s “Madness Ends” podcast!

  1. I know I'm late for the bus, but this is killing me. Boylston St is in Boston, not in Salem.

  2. Third season would be all about witches

  3. Third season will be all about witches which is great.

  4. Best youtube post I have read in a long time. Jessica Lange and James Cromwell this year made Wednesday nights the best!

  5. Thank you! And Jessica Lange is my favorite. She could play a couch cushion and I would watch it.

  6. I know they try to keep the seasons separate from each other but, if there is some sort of political theme to season 3 its going to be pretty difficult not to want to tie Kit son into S:3

  7. with all the washington dc talk for season 3. wondering if kit's son who is a politician will be involved. ummm

  8. Loved the review, you rock (glad to see JBorowski again)! I'm gonna miss you guys reviewing the show. Until next year, thank you so much 🙂 (and yes, the alien storyline was so unnecessary and stupid)

  9. Thank you guys for commenting! Love hearing what you think. It sounds like quite a few people felt short-changed by some of the story lines…

  10. I loved that "You don't own me" moment as well! I liked the idea of her vs. the Angel of Death. They really have some amazing actors on this show, just wish some of their stories weren't short-changed :/

  11. Glad you kept watching the After Buzz reviews! I need to see Nip/Tuck, I hear excellent things about it.

  12. I hope season 3 does deal with the demonic fame and politics that be nice…finally put some behind all the Illuminati talk and conspiracy. There no need for 3 locations why make things over complicated. Hopefully it is coherent story that is all I ask for..you guys are very witty and I appreciate your reviews. thanks.

  13. I got to point where I stopped watching and just did the afterbuzz reviews. I think Ryan can be awesome see Nip/Tuck and he maybe just had too much going on in season 2. The nazi went up in flames..id think he was made of harder stuff. Really Kit ends up with 2 wives, and grace the ax murder isnt the violent one..no alma who just was missing for years..kills her..ok. that doesn't really make sense. Did we need such jumps in time.?? Sorry I think this was sophomore slump.

  14. Just a side note… One of my favorite moments is still Sister Unice singing 'You don't own me' to christ. I laugh everytime I watch it. I also LOVED the 'Angel of Death' character. I can't wait to see what they do with season 3.

  15. I've been a HUGE fan of this show. Watch every week (actually on tv) cause I can't wait. I LOVED the LANA storyline and I think they kinda could have just done that with a few extras thrown in. They had to much going on with too many characters that didnt get their stories fleshed out. They were great characters too, which made me even madder. Overall I do love the show but I hope the find somewhere between season 1 &2 for season 3. @bytewrite

  16. I didn't love this episode. I completely agree with Stephen. I thought there would be more to the alien story.

  17. i love American Horror story,i am a fan, BUT honestly, i hated the last 3 episodes!!!! they failed to rap up all these stories. i'm sorry its season 2, i don't have to care about season 3 which i will only see in like 6 months. this is about season 2 and the writers failed, they took on way too much and they couldn't bring it all home. Sister Eunice didn't even get a proper ending

  18. I really didn't like this season at all, the Lana/Bloody Face storyline was the only thing that I enjoyed. They had a great oportunity to play with the horrors of human experiments, lobotomy and all that stuff, and they just threw that away. And the side stories with the demon, the aliens, leigh emerson, is just a bunch of nonsense without any payoff.

  19. I like the idea of "girl power" as a theme!

  20. haha… thanks! We'll need to stock up on water and food 🙂

  21. Jacque and J.C. do a great job of analyzing AHS. Please chain them to a desk or something so we have them both for every episode of Afterbuzz AHS next season. 😉

  22. Its also going to deal with girl power, ryan murphy said tht this season 3 will deal with "girl power" just like how season 1 was about infidlity ans season2 was about madness and faith and the lose of faith. And Jessica Lange will be in the present day time zone

  23. This Rubio dude is the sexiest thing alive. Definitely needs to come back for season 3….. Maybe shirtless.
